The Philosophy of Math

Yes, there is such a thing as philosophy of math. It considers questions such as "Are the principles and theorems in mathematics created or discovered?" I believe that from a Christian worldview mathematics is discovered. Math is not a neutral discipline. Though it is not as outwardly moral as say, biology, it is still moral and cannot be taught from a neutral standpoint. Mathematics, Is God Silent? is an excellent book that discusses this subject. It is perfect for the high school student and doesn't require an in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematics in order to read. It also includes an overview of the history of mathematical discoveries, which is very enjoyable.
