I'm still alive

No, I have not fallen off the face of the planet. I have just been taking a break from blogging recently. A break which I hope to end now. I had a very good excuse for this. Last month I found out that we were expecting a baby in August. Soon after discovering this fact I began suffering from morning sickness. I am hoping that in the next several weeks I will be over it as I am now coming to the end of the first trimester.

One of the advantages of the morning sickness is that the abundance of time spent in bed or on the couch has meant that I had plenty of time to read. So far this month I have finally finished The Lord of the Rings for the second time. I have also read the following books.

- The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum
- The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
- Breastfeeding and Natural Child Spacing by Sheila Kippley
- The Enchanted Castle by E. Nesbit
- King Solomon's Mines by H. Rider Haggard

I am right now in the middle of Silas Marner by George Eliot, but I must confess that I am having a hard time getting into it. I'm almost half way done with it but I feel like I haven't even gotten into the story yet.
